What the sheet covers

52 units in 3 subjects, as the exam body lists them:

  • Mathematics: 15 units
  • General Intelligence and Reasoning: 17 units
  • General Awareness: 20 units

What this edition covers

This sheet follows the 2026 documents of the Railway Recruitment Boards. Recruitment to various posts of Non-Technical Popular Categories, at Graduate level under CEN No. 06/2026 and Under Graduate level under CEN No. 07/2026, where the RRBs only recommend empanelled candidates and the Railway Administrations issue the offers of appointment.

What changed from the previous cycle

Both 2026 notices say a typing skill test has been dispensed with. The Graduate notice says so for Senior Clerk Cum Typist and Junior Accounts Assistant Cum Typist, para 13.0(c), p. 19. The Under Graduate notice says so for Junior Clerk Cum Typist and Accounts Clerk Cum Typist, para 13.0(c), p. 19. Neither notice labels any other part of the exam pattern or syllabus as changed.

Not announced or unclear in the documents, as of 23 October 2026

Section wise split: both notices call the number of questions per section only indicative and say actual question papers may have some variations, at Graduate paras 13.1 and 13.2.1 and Under Graduate paras 13.1 and 13.2.1.

Using the sheet

Add the minutes after each session, leaving out pauses and breaks. Write a date in First pass finished on only when you decide that stage of that unit is done, and add a new row with Round set to 2 for a second pass. On this page you can also tick a unit when you finish its first pass: the date fills in, your ticks stay in this browser, and nothing is sent anywhere. The Excel file adds the totals for you. The full method is in A syllabus tracker that keeps minutes and finished passes apart. Passes after the first have their own sheet: the RRB NTPC revision tracker, with the same units and a column for each revision round.

Where the units come from

The units are copied from the documents of the Railway Recruitment Boards, which the RRB NTPC page lists with the date we checked each one. Checked on 23 October 2026. The exam body's current notice is the authority: syllabus units can change, so compare this sheet with it and edit what differs. AspirantGoal is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Railway Recruitment Boards or any exam authority.

Questions about the RRB NTPC tracker

Is there a free RRB NTPC 2026 syllabus tracker as a PDF and an Excel file?

Yes. This page has one row for each of the 52 units in 3 subjects, and the same list to download as Excel, CSV and PDF. The tracker is free, needs no sign-up and carries the AspirantGoal mark in every format.

Where are the RRB NTPC units copied from?

From the documents of the Railway Recruitment Boards, which the RRB NTPC page lists with the page or paragraph for each fact. They were checked on 23 October 2026.

Does the RRB NTPC syllabus change every year?

It can change whenever the Railway Recruitment Boards publishes a new notice. This sheet was checked on 23 October 2026, so compare it with the current notice and edit any row that differs. The RRB NTPC page says what had and had not been published on that day.

Where is the NTPC syllabus given?

The official FAQ points to para 13.0 of the CEN. There the notices print topic lists for Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness, introduced as topics questions are likely to cover and ending with etc.

Is there a separate NTPC syllabus document on the RRB website?

The unified RRB website has a Syllabus compilation, based on previous CENs and meant for education only. Its disclaimer says syllabus for CBTs is detailed in each CEN and candidates must refer to the CEN only. It prints the same NTPC topic lists, with small spelling differences.
