1. About AspirantGoal

AspirantGoal (Android package com.cerescanopus.aspirantgoal) is a study-planning and focus app provided by Ceres Canopus Pvt Ltd. It helps users organise exams, subjects, syllabus topics, schedules, sessions, notes, backups and focus routines.

2. Acceptance and eligibility

By installing, accessing or using AspirantGoal, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you are under the age at which you may independently enter into these terms or consent to online data processing in your location, a parent or lawful guardian must authorise your use of optional account and cloud features.

3. Local-first service and your responsibility

Core study data is stored locally on your device. Signing in does not automatically upload or replace it. You are responsible for keeping access to your device secure and for creating backups before uninstalling the app, clearing app storage, replacing a device or making a major change.

Backup and restore features can affect existing data. Review the selected account, backup date, scope and restore mode before confirming. Keep backup files and recovery information secure. We cannot recover a backup encryption secret that only you control.

4. Accounts and registered devices

Core local features may be used without an account. If account services are available, you must provide accurate information, use an account you are authorised to control and protect your sign-in credentials. Registered-device limits refer to account registrations and are not a guarantee against device cloning or compromise.

You may sign out, remove a registered device or request account deletion. Signing out or deleting an account does not silently erase local study data or files in your Google Drive. See Delete your AspirantGoal account for the separate steps.

5. Focus and Strict Mode

Focus and Strict Mode may use Android special access to identify foreground apps, apply your allowlist or notification rules, show a blocker or floating timer, and reduce interruptions during an active session. You decide whether to grant this access and may revoke it in Android Settings.

Do not rely on AspirantGoal to block emergency, safety-critical, accessibility, medical, financial or communication functions. Keep a safe way to exit or contact help. Device manufacturers and Android may limit, delay or stop background behaviour.

6. Educational content and exam information

AspirantGoal is an independent planning tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or an official service of UPSC, GATE, NTA, ICAI, GMAC, educational institutions or any examination authority unless expressly stated.

Syllabus packages, exam phases, streams, dates, study suggestions and other educational information are provided for convenience. They may be incomplete, changed or outdated. Always confirm eligibility, syllabus, dates, rules and official notices with the relevant examination authority. AspirantGoal does not guarantee admission, ranking, marks, selection or any other academic result.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law or infringe intellectual-property, privacy or other rights;
• upload, share or store content you do not have the right to use;
• attempt to bypass security, impersonate another person, abuse account recovery or access another user’s account;
• interfere with the service, introduce malware, automate abusive requests or probe systems without written permission;
• use the service to harass, deceive or harm another person; or
• resell, copy or commercially exploit AspirantGoal except as permitted by law or written agreement.

8. Your content

You retain ownership of notes, descriptions, attachments and other content you create. You give us only the limited permission needed to process content when you deliberately use a cloud, backup, sharing or support feature. You are responsible for your content and for ensuring you have the right to use it.

9. Our software and intellectual property

AspirantGoal, its design, branding, software, original content and related intellectual property belong to Ceres Canopus Pvt Ltd or its licensors. Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose on supported devices.

10. Free features and paid plans

As of the date above, AspirantGoal Pro subscriptions are not open for purchase. If paid plans become available, the app will show the applicable price, billing period, included features and renewal terms before purchase. The price and terms shown by the authorised checkout at the time of purchase control.

Purchases made through Google Play are processed by Google and are subject to Google Play’s payment, cancellation and refund rules. Recurring plans continue until cancelled through the purchase provider. Deleting the app or your AspirantGoal account does not automatically cancel a subscription. If another payment method is lawfully offered in the future, its seller, refund and cancellation terms will be identified before purchase.

11. Availability and changes

We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features to improve the service, protect users, comply with law or support new Android versions. Some features depend on Android, Google, device manufacturers, internet access or third-party services and may not be available on every device or in every region.

12. Suspension and termination

We may restrict account or cloud-service access when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, security harm, unlawful conduct or material breach of these terms. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to address the issue. Local study data remains governed by the storage and deletion behaviour described in the app and Privacy Policy.

13. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, AspirantGoal is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, error-free content, compatibility with every device, permanent availability of a third-party service, or a particular academic outcome. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Ceres Canopus Pvt Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of the service, loss of access, missed reminders, exam-information changes, device restrictions, third-party services or failure to keep a usable backup. Our total liability for a paid service will not exceed the amount you paid for that service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without removing any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact help@aspirantgoal.com so we can try to resolve the issue. Courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear unresolved disputes.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service, law or business changes. We will revise the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice for material changes. Continued use after the updated terms take effect means you accept them, where permitted by law.
